BECi Employees Donate Funds to Community Organizations

In the season of giving, BECi employees generously donated monetary contributions through payroll deductions to benefit community organizations and spread Christmas cheer to local children and their families.

The total amount raised by BECi employees was $2,871.00. These funds were then matched by the cooperative and through CoBank’s Sharing Success Program for a grand total of $13,242.

BECi Partners with Pioneer to Revamp Louisiana Country Publication

BECi management and board of directors, along with seven other cooperatives in the Association of Louisiana Electric Cooperatives (ALEC), announce they will join forces to update the co-op’s bi-monthly member newsletter, Louisiana Country, read by 43,000 BECi members, starting in January 2020.

The partnership between BECi and Pioneer Utility Resources, a communications cooperative created and owned by public power utilities, will transform the newspaper-style publication into a glossy magazine that will continue to deliver custom content to BECi members across the area.

Teamwork Leads to BECi Claiming Statewide Safety

BECi recently received recognition for having the most outstanding safety program among the state’s electric cooperatives. Co-op employees have worked over 752,000 man-hours without a loss-time accident. The Statewide Safety Trophy was presented by the Association of Louisiana Electric Cooperatives (ALEC) at the organization’s annual meeting held in Baton Rouge in July. It was the sixth time in 10 years BECi has received the coveted award.

BECi Makes Changes to “Alerts and Reminders” Options on November 1, 2019

Beauregard Electric Cooperative, Inc. has seen a thirty-six percent increase of members using an email address to receive notifications regarding their electric bill and usage history since 2016.  With the popularity of mobile devices, BECi is committed to providing the latest information to its members and recognizes that its users enjoy the benefit of having information at their fingertips.  As a result of the email increase, BECi will continue to offer email alerts, but downgrade the number of text messaging options beginning November 1, 2019.
